A Dandelion Heart

A dandelion.  It's a weed. It slowly grows into a yellow, almost flower. It soon becomes white, fragile, easily broken. Beautiful though. Until it is blown, and left bare. But it isn't left hopeless. Because if there is good soil, a new one will sprout up. And it is beautiful.  Our hearts are like dandelions. We are born--fearfully and wonderfully made. At the same time, we have something broken in us, its called sinfulness.  Left unchecked, temptation and our sin leads us astray. Then the Lord rescues us from that real guilt and shame. We are forgiven.  And His very Word finds a place in our heart. It begins to grow anew making us a new creation.

If you look really closely you can see that it's raining.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation;the old has gone, the new has come!"
- 2 Corinthians 5:17

Now I am off to a two mile run. Then ice cream and pizza.
Oh, how I love junk food.

  5. The analogy? Perfect, lovely, beautiful. The words? Soaring. Your pictures? The best complement of your words. Dandelions are so ethereal, aren't they. Ugh, I'm just overcome with the loveliness of this post.

    Love,

P.S. The third picture? EEP!!!! BEAUTIFUL. And junk food... You know it's the best. I'm serious. Around extremely healthy people, I feel slightly awkward. "I'm just gonna eat my ice cream over heeerre."
