Beyond the woods, holds a little fort. My magical fort. Five pine trees huddled perfectly together. Underneath the pine trees holds a wonderful place. It was my place to pretend, play and imagine when I was
little. It is now my place to be inspired, think, and pray. The sound of the creek made me calm and content. The branches of needles hovered over me. My hands were hidden inside of my fleece gray mittens. I took a deep breathe of the fresh air. It smelled new. The wind was swaying the
branches overhead. I sat there in thought and prayer. The beauty of it all was profound.
The Lord made it all.... my part of the woods.... my magical fort.
I said “Oh that I had the wings
of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest; yes, I would wander far away; I would lodge in the wilderness."
