I will doze off

Today.  I was singing in church and I felt a deep sense of joy.  “This world is empty, pale, and poor compared to knowing you my Lord. Lead me on and I will run after you”.  The Lord lit something up in me the rest of the day. The words kept ringing through my mind. We can try to fill our hearts with things of the world, but those things can't satisfy the deeper longing in our souls.  The Lord is what fills the heart with joy. He has filled my heart. It was a day where the wind whistled and blew heaps of warmness, making my hair fly in all different directions. The sun glowed softly, and streams of light interrupted the shadows. To end this day in a perfect way, I shall make myself a cup of sleepy time tea. Slowly I’ll sip it down, go climb into bed, thank the Lord for this day, watch the stars through my window, and doze off till morning.

How was your Sunday?

  1. oh yes try as we might, but we will never be satisfied ...we search and try to fill and fill but it doesn't work. He is our hunger and our thirst, and only in Him completely are we satisfied and fulfilled. we will learn this lesson for the rest of our days.
    Love this quote:
"If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here."
thanks for the precious post and for sharing your heart cindi!
