Adventure

    Adventure.
Whenever we hear that nine letter word there is something appealing to us about it.There is something rather thrilling and exciting about the thought of a new adventure.  I like to scope the globe to dream of all the possibilities. Yet I know adventure to one may be close to home, and to another like me it's traveling afar. Still we all want adventure. We all have a different idea of an adventure. A mid-day picnic where you can bring that beautifully patched blanket. An adventure to Paris, where you can eat scones and drink tea. Going on a saunter through the magical woods, where you are sure to find a concealed world.  Taking a camping trip, and soaking in the smells that are strange, yet wonderful . Sometimes it takes courage. Sometimes it takes time. Sometimes it takes prayer to get there.

As I sit here, snug on the couch, I will dream about adventuring to Paris.

What is adventure to you?

  4. Aaaahhh!!! Love love love! You and me are going to hit up Paris when we're older. It'll be like on "Monte Carlo." They'll HAVE to make a movie about us, and we'll have them entitle it, "The Adventures of Little Cindi Lou Who and Maple Syrup." Yes? Yes <3

  5. I love travel. I haven't been to many places, but this last year, I was so surprised when my mom and grandma took me to Florida for my b-day (and I live near the west coast). Travel/new places thrill me to death!

  7. Adventure? To me? Hm... I like to stay quite close to home and journey to far-off places through my books. However, if I had the opportunity to drive up to Disneyland for a couple of days, I would, in fact, squeal with delight and leave my books behind ;)

  11. Awesome post Cindi! :) To me, adventure is something new and different that you haven't tried before. Like you said, it takes courage, maybe even to go out of your comfort zone. I hope one day that you are able to go to Paris and have your adventure!
