Snowflake Lights and Cookies

Yesterday, I all of a sudden felt Christmasy{I know, that's not a word.}I started playing some Christmas carols. set out my nutcrackers. Brought out the lights. and started putting some decorations around my room. We had some beautiful snowflake lights, that I decided to hang from one side of the room, all the way across to the other side. Right above my bed. So, now at night I can look up and see those pretty lights. Best part, is they change colors....

Aren't they beautiful? I am in love with them.

I keep walking in my room, just to see those pretty things. Later that night, I decided to make some sugar cookies. I love anything with sugar in it. True story. I must admit though......I was in no mood to actually make them from scratch. I decided to be lame, and use a roll of already made cookie dough.Yes, you may say to me "You are a fail to all sugar cookie makers.".....Anyways..I grabbed some cookie cutters{which we have a lot of} and started making some pretty shaped cookies.

I threw them in the oven. Kinda forgot to set the timer. About 20 minutes later....."Is something burning?" asks my father...."My cookies.....noooooo!!!!" me saying while running to the oven. It was quite sad. I threw them away, because I am pretty sure they were not edible. And decided to go watch a Christmas movie instead of trying to make another batch. There you have it. Proof that we are imperfect. And that making sugar cookies is not my specialty. Now go stuff your faces with all sorts of Christmas foods, fill your ears with the blasting of Christmas music, and enjoy the beautiful lights. I am about to go do all of the above.

Love Yours,
The terribly wretched sugar cookie maker, Cindi.

  3. Was it wrong of me for my first reaction to the cookie story was "NOOOO!!!! SAVE THE COOKIES!!!!" when I read that they were burning? I probably should've been more worried about your HOUSE and your FAMILY...but those cookies are high up on the priority list, also ;)

  4. This made me smile. :) Sadly, I've burnt things too, because I would become busy. Oh well! And those snowflakes look beautiful!
