Jesus is the Reason For The Season. {A Guest Post By Sophie}

Anyone Excited about Christmas?  Oh, well THIS GIRL (ME) is!  :D:D:D:D  Favorite time of the year!  (that was allot of smileys... Big deal this is! xD)  The time of year when all the Christmas lights get dragged out from the basement, where you dig in boxes just to find that one special ornament, being with family (my favorite part!) whatch old Christmas movies with family, (my favorite is Holiday Inn!) Oh, and don't forget the hot cocoa! :D

 ...and presents.  Yes, presents. :))  You see, I want something very much this year. I would like to have an ipod touch...  I have been praying for one, (Not as in, Lord, please, I will do anything if you will give me an ipod touch! No.  I mean, Lord, if you want me to have one, I know that you will provide me with one.)  Well, I realized, even though I was saying that, I still thought about what I wanted allot.  And then it struck me the other day.  I remembered this verse...

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

And that really spoke to me.  Jesus is the reason for the season.  For real. He lived, to die, I find it hard to think about it. And that is what CHRISTmas is all about.  Christ is our present, the ultimate gift, the everlasting life that we need, and can't live without. There is nothing wrong with presents, or having a Christmas tree, or being with your family, but this season, lets try to remember what it's all about. I know I will, will you?

I know this was a short post, but this is my first guest post, the lovely Cindi let me ;)))  (love ya!)  I hope this wasn't a lame one...(was it?) That was what was on my heart to write.  Now, allow me to introduce myself.

I'm a Christian Girl, striving to serve Jesus with all I have. I love vintage-y things, like typewriters and old music, I am an aspiring photographer who looks at the world through a christian camera lens. When I gorw up, I hope to be an author. I currently finished my 5th book, and some day, I hope to get my writing published. If the Lord wills, I want to get married, have children, and homeschool them in a Christian atmosphere. I want to be an author at home, and keep my photography for my family, blog, and friends.   I love making new friends, and making people laugh.  Really, I love it!!!  I love blogging, and making friends with bloggers (Like the lovely author of this blog!  Your awesome Cindi!!!)  I love to take pictures and share them with people!   I love old shows, such as I Love Lucy/Lavern and Shirley/Lost In Space/  And old movies! Holiday Inn/The Marx Brothers movies/The Andy Hardy series, and so on. I love reading too!  My favorite books in the world are Cryptid Hunters and Tentacles by Roland Smith.  (Besides the Bible ofcourse!) If you have not read those, get them!  They should be at your local library! I love vintagy clothes, I really want a pair of 1930's looking shoes, (and their hats!!!)  My favorite music is by David Crowder/Christ Tomlin/News Boys/Tree 63/  And don't forget the classics!!!  Bing Crosby/Frank Sinatra/Doris Day
