Hello my lovelies!
I am so thrilled that I am able to guest post for Cindi :)
I spent the last day or two, pondering over what I would post about. I had an inspiration when the song Free to Be Me by Francesca Batestalli played on the radio. (Heads up- None of these pictures are mine, sadly *sniff sniff*)
How much time a day do we spend wishing we could be someone else? How many hours a week do we spend thinking that someone else has a better life than we do?
We are His and His only. We belong to the Most High and sovereign God. He created the birds, the trees, the waters, and the seasons (which I know all of you are excited about autumn, just like I am :) ) and created both myself and you.
He cares about us. More than we could ever imagine!
"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Matthew 10:29-31
God loves us much more than the sparrows because we were created in HIS OWN IMAGE. He knows everything about us, when we are happy, when we are depressed, when we are afraid, everything. We can't hide ourselves from God.
God created me to be ME. God created you to be YOU. You are your own person. Don't try to be like anyone else.
"Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else." ~Judy Garland
Your task this week? Write. I want you to write either a blog post (you don't have to post it unless you want to), a paper, a note, anything. Write what you think is special about you. Next time whenever you feel down, or insecure, or that you don't matter, read it. Don't use it to think "Oh my gosh I am soooo much better than everyone else" but rather think "God created me this way. I am my own person, here to glorify Him with what talents and unique traits He was graciously given me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect. I have days where I am just so low down in the dumps, where I just want to crawl back in bed and leave everything behind. Its those times when we should either pick up our Bibles and read, or go to strongly Christian friends. I can't express how much I love my brothers and sisters in Christ. They help me and encourage me more than they could ever imagine.
I know this wasn't as fun of a post as Jocee's where she talked about fall or Lou's post where she took us all on a magical trip through Europe, but I felt this was something that God put on my heart to blog about. :)
~Peace, love, sprinkled cupcakes and zebras~
Me? My name is JesusChick :) I'm a dark blonde haired, green eyed girl who has been saved by the grace of God even though I didn't deserve it. I have extreme interests in school, reading, writing, and sports. Oh most definitely sports. I love the color green and am obsessed with penguins. I seriously want one for my birthday but I doubt it'll happen *sad face* I enjoy making people smile and I like to find humor in almost every situation. I have an obsession with using smiley faces online (is that bad??).
Thank you again sooooo much Cindi for allowing me the privilege to guest post on your sweet blog! :D
Praise the Lord for you Girley :) That was as encouraging as encouraging gets! That was awesome :D

Hahaha! Thank yahs Sophie! I wuv you chica! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was a g r e a t post!! Thank you for reminding us to be ourselves. Although I'm usually okay with myself, sometimes I get discouraged because I want to be just like someone else who inspires me, and I forget that God made me to be who I am, and I don't have to change or conform.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thanks for the great post!
