Growing up in the country was the most amazing thing ever! My sisters and I would come up with the craziest ideas and games. For example I had one of those little barbie jeeps and my sister had her bike, we would get sticks, and go as fast as we could into each other like we were knights, it was pretty dangerous. In the summer we would lay out on the grass knowing we were probable going to get chigers and look up at the stars, listening to the coyotes and crickets. We would go catch fireflies and put them in a jar, but then let them go. We would play Indians in the woods and gather leaves and plants and pretend to eat them. We would sword fight with sticks. We would be in our creek all day trying to catch frogs. In the fall we would all huddle around a camp fire and make smores and gaze up at the stars some more. In the winter we would make the biggest snow forts and go sledding down our hill, which seemed big then, but now seems small. We would collect all of these berries from our mull berry tree(yummy)! We had a little secret fort down in our woods where we would play house. We had( still have) a dog that would chase you and jump on you. Haha! Every other year our neighbors planted a huge corn field and we would go play tag in it. And last but not least we would run as fast as we could through the green grass on our little bare feet. I don't think I could've asked for a better life. I hope I didn't bore you with that!
My wondeful driveway, which I have run down so many times. :))
This is just a random photo I took.
What are some memories from your childhood?
