i know i'm not the only person in the world who writes posts about autumn. after all the bloggers who relish in summer's end, it may seem a little cliche. but to me, it's magical.

in the morning, the flowers have a glow adorning them. out of curiosity you step outside and discover that it's frost. the frost melts by 9am and yet you can still feel the tingle in your fingers from its touch. my favorite #1.

a hot breakfast. several kinds of jam, pastries and teas. going down your throat like the climax of the hallelujah chorus. the perfect amount of butter spread onto your toast. my favorite #2.

of course it's too cold to go outside. so you stay in and read. another cup of tea just because you can. the scent of the pages, the crackle as you turn them, awaiting what lies on the next, and the thrill when you close the book, and then you realize you want to live it all over again, so you do. my favorite #3.

it's noon now. why not step outside? so you pull on your favorite sweater and roll up your fuzzy socks, and gasp excitedly as the wind greets you by brushing your cheek. you tuck your arms under your shoulders and breathe in deeply, drinking in your surroundings. my favorite #4.

you watch as the last few rose petals fade and fall to the ground. as much as you like the red and the pink and the yellow of the roses, you can't help but want the auburn colored leaves from the maple trees over it any day. my favorite #5.

you step back inside again, and decide to make some hot chocolate. homemade, right off the stove, you let your senses linger above the steam, and you close your eyes. maybe some pumpkin cheesecake is next on the list. my favorite #6.

you eat dinner. turn on your favorite stories from the tele. read some more, then go to bed, and my favorite #7 is, you get to wake up, and do it all over again.
